๐Œ๐Ž๐ƒ๐„๐‹ ๐€๐๐’๐–๐„๐‘:

My friend, a political science teacher at a local college, and I often ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ฎ๐ž about ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ the large ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ in ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ of our world. And to prove our points and arguments, we try to watch TV documentaries, especially the documentaries on โ€œimportant political eventsโ€ in history and collect information from them. Today, I would like to talk about one such documentary which I watched about a year ago which was quite interesting.
The documentary, I want to talk about, was on ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ of ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‘๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐„๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ž. It, of course, was a series of documentaries which tried to discuss 600 years of history of the Roman Empire in as much depth as possible ๐ข๐ง ๐œ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ž๐ซ.
It has one particular episode on the Roman republic days with the problems of northern Gallic tribes, and then it also talks about the role of Caesar in shaping the empire and ๐ฌ๐จ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก. By the way, I already had learned a little about the history of the Roman Empire, by reading different kinds of books and watching some historical facts on TV before, but this particular documentary taught me a great deal about the history of western civilization as a whole.
However, what was really ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž about this documentary was that it really tried to ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐๐ข๐œ๐ญ a very popular view that the Romans were bad people and also the enemy of Christianity but they become good people after ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐จ Christianity. Besides, the documentary taught me a very crucial point (which other people may not agree with) and that is, our human history is ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐›๐ฎ๐ญ the history of numerous wars and conflicts.
Anyway, the TV documentary was particularly interesting to be me because it ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐ž๐ฒ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ the flaws and greatness of the Roman civilization which also essentially is the civilization of Europe. I found it interesting also because Christian religion indeed ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ ๐š ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐ž in shaping the European civilization even though many Europeans today like to disagree with it.
